How can you apply the information from the HOW HEALTHY ARE YOU? activity to your current eating habits? Explain.(Make sure to use the body type and BMR information in your answer. Also, discuss how you did on the pyramid tracker report sheets)

The new information that I learned will help me in the future to think more carefully about what I am consuming. I will pay more attention to the percentage of whole grains that are in the product instead of just eating bread that says whole grain on the package.

1. Because it tells me what I have eaten and how healthy I eat each day and down the road what it will do to me and how it will affect my life. So I shouldn’t eat that many junk foods and eat more fruit and vegetables.\

 

2.Ryan S.Eat less junk food because if I keep this up I will get fat

 

3. Aidan G.I am pretty healthy; I don’t eat junk food very often. I have a vegetable with every dinner meal. I would say I am healthy.

 

4.Tyler S.I learned that I should eat less junk food and eat more of the other five food groups. If I keep up my current eating habits I will probably gain weight.

 

5.Joel S.How the information I have learned about my health will help is that I will try to eat more vegetables, fruit, and other nutritious foods that I do not already eat. Also I should stop snacking as much. Another way this information will help me to have a healthy life style is to exercise and do more physical activities. I should run around with my dog or ride my bike more.

I think that I can apply the information from the How Healthy Are You? worksheet to my current eating habits because the How Healthy Are You? activity told you what kind of fats you should and shouldn’t have a certain amount of. Now I know how much I should eat of what. I should watch what I eat throughout the day more carefully.

 

7.ELise T.I think that I can apply the information that I learned on the How Healthy Are You? worksheet to my eating habits now by knowing what the different fats are and how much I should consume. Now I know when is too much of one fat and when I need to eat more of another. I will be watching more carefully about what I’m eating throughout the day.

 

8.Cassie W.What I learned in this activity will make me more cautious about what I consume. I will pay more attention to what is on the food labels even if bread packaging say they have whole grain in the bread I will look and see how much whole grain it has.

 

9.Loganbenton This assignment showed me that I’m not doing the things I should be doing, but the calc. thing on the website said I’m healthy.

 

10. Jacob E.I eat healthy food but I don’t get enough exercise. I should exercise more often.

 

11.Brittney B.The “How Healthy Are You” project, will, in the future, make me think about what, and how much I am consuming. I will pay more attention to the labels on food, and things like whole grain, or low fat foods, and try to eat low fat or no fat foods instead of foods with extra fat. I will also pay attention to the amount, or serving size of what I am eating. So, doing that, I could definitely help myself in the long run. I also will make healthier choices, now that I know more about what I am eating

This “How Healthy Are You?” project will change my eating habits because I will now look more carefully at the food labels for things like, whole grain, serving size, and stuff that is non fat or low fat, and more. I think that doing this How Healthy Are You? project will change my life-long eating habits.

14.Michelle H.The activity helped me to pay attention to everything that I enter in to my mouth. I will also make sure to look at the labels on food and know the type of food that I am eating.

 

15. Adriana C. In the future I can apply this information from the activity by watching labels on foods so I can know what I am eating and how much I am consuming. Also so I know what fats I am eating such as saturated fats and trans fat but I will be looking for more low fat foods to keep my body healthy. The main reason is so I know what’s going into my body!
