The new information that I learned will help me in the future to think more carefully about what I am consuming. I will pay more attention to the percentage of whole grains that are in the product instead of just eating bread that says whole grain on the package.

1. michael k Now that I know about what is good to eat and what is not so good, I will make healthier choices. I am also on the basketball team so not eating healthy is not an option if I want to perform my best.
2.Mike C. I could start exercising regularly like the “How healthy are you?” suggested. I could also have all of the daily servings of vegetables, fruits, dairy products and whole grains. And I should use less oils and fat. I used to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, but now I usually don’t eat it anymore. And that is how the “How healthy are you?” can change my current eating (and exercising) habits.
3.YOU FORGOT YOUR NAME: ________The info that I learned is helpful in choosing food that is good and healthy for me, with this info I can eat better and be more healthy.
4.Aki Y.: The How Healthy Are YOU activity will help me pay more careful attention to what I am eating everyday. 5. Nathan F. To eat healthy I eat tons of fruit and veggies, milk, protein, and every thing else. My mom is very healthy so she makes healthy meals.\
6.Melvin O.
I know now what is healthy for my body and what isn’t healthy for my body. By eating vegetables and minimizing the junk food I will be a healthy boy.
7. Alex S.
Because of the packet “How Healthy Are You,” I want to apply the knowledge that I learned to my daily life. I always used to read the calories on the nutrition facts but I learned that you don’t just base how healthy you are on calories. Now, I will also look and the saturated and trans fat and eat foods with lower amounts of those fats and more amounts of polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats. Currently my eating habits are okay but I could improve them by avoiding 2% milk, items with sugar added, while grains, and dark, green leafy veggies. I also know that I need some fatty foods and protein so I’m going to make sure to get enough protein, fat and nutrition. : )
8. john TJohn T.) I am right now working on losing weight so I can just put it on paper and try to adjust to my new eating habits. I would have to talk to my mom about it though because she is the one who has gotten me started on losing my weight though.
9. Mark S.
I think the How healthy are you packet relates to my lifestyle because it gives you hints on how to be healthy and it tells you the healthy foods and the unhealthy foods. I also know now that if you exercise a lot you will be healthier.
10. ashley j.
Now that I know how healthy I am I know that I need to eat foods that are better for me. My foods aren’t that healthy. I eat a lot of sweets and that is affecting my health. When I eat a lot of junk food it affects my ability to play my favorite sport basketball. In this sport I have to be extremely healthy so you can run down the court better. It also helps me to focus better when I play or even in school. when you eat healthy foods your brain has more energy.
11.
Molly M: This lesson really helped me figure how healthy I am. This taught me that some “bad foods” really aren’t that bad if you balance your healthy food and junk food intake. I also learned how to watch what I eat, and more about nutrition. In the future, this will help me make healthy choices.
12. Katelyn C.
This was a good way to learn about my nutrition. I learned that I should eat more orange and dark green leafy vegetables. I also learned to cut down on fat, grains, and milk. This was a good way to teach me about my health.
13. Neeaz K.
Because of How Healthy Are You? I now know how to eat healthy and what types of foods are good, and bad. I used to think that everything was all about calories, but I was very wrong. I’m going to eat darker, green vegetables. I know that polyunsaturated fats are very good, and saturated nutrients fat is very bad. I know that if you eat a lot of healthy food, its okay, but if you eat a lot of unhealthy food, it’s not, because for the more unhealthy food you eat, the less you should eat.
14.tom s.The How Healthy Are You? Info was helpful for me so that when I go to choose food I will choose the right choice for me.
15. Isabella G.
The information I found in the “How Healthy Are You” activity helped me realize how healthy I was. I’m reasonably healthy except for a few things like fat that I need to cut down on. The recommendations say that I’m only eating 1% too much though. Next time I eat, I should probably check to make sure the fat level isn’t too high. I need more calcium too so I should probably drink more milk. I eat enough whole grain because I eat a sandwich almost every day. I think I eat enough fruit and vegetables too. I don’t eat fruits every day, but I eat them once in a while, although I do eat vegetables everyday for sure. So the only thing I need to pay attention to is fat.
16Nick T.I would use the information to start eating healthy and start exercising more than I normally do.
17 Trevor M. I would use the things that I learned from the things in the activity that I should eat dark green vegetables and not many oils and fats. I should also exercise a lot more.
18Michael K:

I think right now I should eat healthier. I eat healthy stuff but I don’t think I eat them as much as I should. I always workout. I play sports so my active side is not a problem.
Kevin J
23The info that I learned will help me in the future to watch what I eat.
24.
Drew G
I learned that I should change the way I eat because I am not going to be alive if I eat this way in the future. I should consume healthier foods. Now I know what is healthy and not.
25.Vladik S.
I think at this point I eat pretty healthy but there are some areas were I could improve. My physical actives are really good I play hockey and workout. I also run a mile ever three days. I will start eating more vegetables.
26. [[Meghan H.]] I can use this new information to help sort of ‘scare’ me into eating healthier. I learned a lot about calories and how they affect me. I now know that I need a mixture of milk products, meat and beans, grains, fruits and veggies, and just a little of the oils and fats. I learned that I need to have whole wheat bread instead of my every day white breads. My eating habits right now are alright but I know that I can improve a lot. I know to start eating more polyunsaturated fats and monounsaturated fats. I know to stay away from Trans fat and saturated fat. All this, I know, will help me in the long run. I can eat good tasting food and still be healthy.
